Digital Photography Green Screen Techniques

Using a green screen digital photography is easy. The screens are used in both photography and videos although more common in video photography.

First off, you need an actual green screen. Despite the name, this can be either green or blue color. The choice of the color photographs in the main by what you, as you make it easy for your software will isolate the intended image to be dictated to you.

Purpose made green screens arereadily available from around $ 20. You can search for them in places such as eBay, Amazon or your local photo shop. Alternatively, you can create your own fabric or even by painting a roll of paper. As long as the color is consistent, you'll be fine.

Next, you must make sure that you have good lighting for your digital photos. This is especially useful when you edit your pictures as extra shadows any automatic software options that can confuse you come.

Although you canbuy expensive bulbs, you will probably find that you get very good results with only a few fluorescent lights. Place both upright, in front of your subject and to each side. So every shadow should be repealed.

Then take your photos.

Once you are satisfied with these, the time has come to edit it and into a new background. So your "talking head" shot now shows in a news studio, in front of a street scene, or just about anywhere where youto choose.

Much is now on your image editing program.

Basically, you need to trace around the outline of your chosen image. Programs such as Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop tools to help you have to do this. But it may take a while to the places where the automatic software recognition program is not as accurate as you like to tweak. Here the contrast between the green screen and your subject comes in handy, as it gives you a selected softwaremuch better chance of doing a good job with as little as possible your help.

Once you have chosen your image, then you must use another option to digitally "lift" the image and then place it on your chosen background. These will vary with your software package but providing you can copy the software only to get you the desired area, you must be in order.

It may pay you to practice this with a simple shape like a rectangle or a circle, so you do not waste muchTime tracing round a complicated picture, only to find when you use the wrong button at the wrong time. It is in times like these when you are grateful for Edit Undo options but personally I would not rely fully on them.

It is then covered a relatively simple matter can be carefully selected to cut the new image. So you can pretend to talk to people, the front of the pyramids in Egypt or anywhere else you prefer.
